The Gulf Coast Premier League is pleased to announce plans to expand by welcoming Real United FC. The club will be playing out of Moss Point, MS and will look to continue being a strong presence in the soccer community.

This will be the club’s first season with the GCPL although they’ve been in existence since 2011. Initially beginning as a men’s program, they quickly expanded to include women’s and youth programs respectively. Boasting a strong relationship with the local school district, they will host their games at Moss Point High School which will have a capacity between 2,000-3,000 fans.

Jeramay Anderson, President of Business Operations for the team, said that he’s excited about what they bring to the area. “We want to find the best of the best players. We want to to give our fans a team that they can be proud of. We’re also looking to collaborate with all of the teams in the league to grow the sport as a whole.”

Starting with the GCPL means having a clean slate, so Real United will be hosting tryouts for the team on March 3rd in Moss Point. This will give General Manager Chad Smith a fresh look at new talent and a chance to reevaluate familiar faces. Helping Smith will be Abdi Farrah, Training and Assistant Coach, and Don Smith, who will serve as Assistant Coach and Talent Scout.
